We're in!

We have at last moved into the new kitchen. Spent a day moving saucepans, dishes, cutlery and all manner of paraphernalia into drawers and cupboards. Now we will spend the new few weeks trying to remember where we put them. We are using the dishwasher at nights and have made three days worth of dinners using the new hobs and cooker. There are other things on our minds too, especially getting the latest edition of the newsletter into our publishing package ready to be sent to the printer. We are mostly there, just the tricky back page to see to. The weather outside is lovely so hope we'll get to enjoy it over the next few days with the newsletter and finishing the corner of the kitchen you can't see in the photo.
Miss P is here for BH weekend and this afternoon we had an outing to an open garden at this place http://www.arvonfoundation.org/p92.html, formerly the home of playwright John Osborne and now part of a famous centre for writers. Lots of bluebells, rhodos and azaleas to see.
Tomorrow there is a sung evensong in the village, first for some years. HoF is singing in the choir, minus the dress and I am reading the lesson. How did that happen? Not like us at all. Ah, well.

More Kerry

This is the waterfall on the farm, the biggest one.

I think this work was called 'fencing' although t doesn't look like an English idea of the term.

The house that Jack un-built. It was going to be renovated until the stream was discovered running underneath. In time it will become a holiday cottage, but that's after the new house is built, the land made suitable for sheep and half a dozen other tasks.

Local town. Pretty nice place especially at the pre-tourist time we were there. Some lovely clothes shops, but oh my, the prices.
Have to settle down to work on the next issue of The Rag. Difficult when I have so many nice things to do instead: cross-stitch, gardening, reading, walking. And we've been invited away to babysit soon........................

Kerry Trip

Here are some souvenir photos of our recent trip to ireland. We had a great time and enjoyed being with The Irish Family again and seeing where they live and what they get up to, some of them at 4am!

Here are the Clan playing at a hotel.

A bowl-shaped farm park complete with enormous waterfall.

Muckross Gardens with the Littles.
Each one a delight.
